    Mojang Minecraft account needs to be accessible


    I read the following about Mojang minecraft accounts being inaccessible:

    In an effort to increase account security and create a unified Minecraft ecosystem, a Minecraft: Java Edition migration from Mojang to Microsoft accounts was announced October 21, 2020. The migration grace period concluded December 18, 2023. As the migration period has ended, Minecraft Support will no longer assist with migration-related queries.

    To continue playing Minecraft, you can purchase both Minecraft: Java Edition and Minecraft: Bedrock edition as one product on the Xbox Store or explore Different Minecraft Editions for other platforms.

    I am nearly certain that under Australian consumer law, this is illegal.

    I need my account either refunded or made accessible.

    I just had to deal with this today.

    Xbox support says they don't have access and that any Minecraft account issues need to be resolved by the Windows account team.     Yes, I have access to gmail, but at the time minecraft didn't need to have microsoft account, so I had it on gmail (mojang).

    That's normal, you can't access the old Mojang account after the migration, you need to use the email you used to migrate the Mojang account to, in the launcher you need to select Minecraft Java and then Microsoft login and then use the email you use during the migration process
