Mojang and Microsoft account

Since you did not lost access to your Microsoft account - but to a not migrated Mojang account - only Mojang is responsible and might help you with your account recovery. Even though Microsoft owns Mojang, they are not the same company. Microsoft is Microsoft, Mojang is Mojang. Microsoft employees are not Mojang employees and vice-versa. So only Mojang might help you with this - depending if they actually have features/options for account recovery.

you dont need to pay for a microsoft account, you only need gold when on console.

ok what about java edition? on the pc?

if you already own the java edition then you own it and can carry on using it, if you want the bedrock edition which is the version on the windows store then you would need to buy that as that is a seperate version.

but if you just own java version and only play that you will not be affected.

Did you have two mojang accounts (one with Java and one with Bedrock), or did you have one mojang account (which had Java) and one Microsoft account with Minecraft for Windows, and you migrated this mojang account with Java to the Microsoft account that had Minecraft for Windows?

I ask because you cannot migrate two mojang accounts to only one Microsoft account. So if you had one mojang account with java and one mojang account with bedrock, you migrated them to two different Microsoft accounts.
