    Mojang Account Cutover?


    I believe that I cutover my microsoft account to have my old mojang license a couple years ago. but now when I log try to log into minecraft, it just crashes the launcher. Is this a known issue? Is there a way to check if my cutover worked properly?

    Hey there, RyanKnudson1

    Please can you tell me if the Minecraft launcher is on the latest version?

    In terms of finding out if the account has been successfully migrated. You would have needed to trigger the migration to happen. Accounts don't get migrated automatically. You can check by signing into your account on the Minecraft website with Microsoft. It should load your profile and display what licences you have.

    Since you did not lost access to your Microsoft account - but to a not migrated Mojang account - only Mojang is responsible and might help you with your account recovery. Even though Microsoft owns Mojang, they are not the same company. Microsoft is Microsoft, Mojang is Mojang. Microsoft employees are not Mojang employees and vice-versa. So only Mojang might help you with this - depending if they actually have features/options for account recovery.

    If you have the newest smart gateway from Telstra, it should not be a problem.

    If you have the older gateway, 3-4 yrs old, get it replaced and updated by Telstra.

    All the earlier issues I had with my network were caused by the no longer supported gateway I was given when cutover to the NBN.

    Then you should contact Mojang support as your account must be a Mojang account if it's not linked to Microsoft account
