Modern warfare update has turned my xbox into a brick

I recently downloaded the modernwarfare update and it has broke my xbox one x. I've lost count how many factory resets I've done and offline updates. I did eventually get warzone one and for a day. Last night I had another go at downloading modernwarfare
and it's done the same again but worse. Now I keep getting error codes just from trying to update the xbox offline again, so now I'm properly stuck.

Just to confirm, each time I've gone through the same cycle,factory reset, power down, unplug power lead wait for a minute, not connected to the internet, plug power in, switch on. Sometimes get error numbers at this point and have to start again E codes
can vary.

If I do successfully make it to that point I then get the error code when I click to update offline off my pen drive. Yes pen drive is formatted NTFS and has worked a couple of days ago hence managing to get it working with warzone on yesterday.

I've read all the supports and found them useless and normally ends up with telling the consumer it needs sending in for repair at our cost! Can anybody help this is ridiculous! Why let a dodgey update through anyway!

That cannot be correct. I was in this same boat 3 days ago going through this same endless loop and it was updating the os that finally did it and then managed to sign in and downloaded fifa and warzone. I played warzone for over a day. It only messed up
when I tried downloading the multiplayer again. It seems to he data pack 1 it gets to about 80% then keeps stopping itself then you end up back in the loop.

3 times I've ended up here now and its everytime I try and download modernwarfare

Hi,

I can understand your frustration here and your logic, but your current console failure issue was not caused by an update to Modern Warfare. Game updates don't make any changes to the console and its Operating System or system firmware.

The E error codes are issues with the console's Operating System (OS). This can be a minor software issue that can often be resolved by resetting the system to factory, or where a console had issues installing a console update, using a offline update with
a Flash drive.

However, since your error was not due to a failed system update, the offline update won't work.

I believe the System error codes are in the region of E102/ E105 / E106 / E203.

Unfortunately if the system factory reset hasn't resolved your issue then your console will need to be repaired. It may have due to failing hard drive.

I would just like to point out again that game updates do not make changes to the console. Your console fault is not because of a Modern Warfare update.

I’m currently having the same problem. I tried to update call of duty modern warfare, but it refuses to update. I canceled the update and uninstall the entire game, I am even went as far as to factory reset my Xbox. But to no prevail I am unable to install
call of duty modern warfare.

Playing local Modern Warfare 3 spec ops with my friends but sadly the new modern warfare has no spec ops split screen.
