    Modern Warfare stutter


    Recently downloaded mw to play with friends and i'm having stuttering happen in online multiplayer and custom games. I'm playing on series x and not using a 120hz tv so just sticking at normal 4k 60fps mode. I have an open nat type and decent enough internet. I've played a lot of mw 2019 and have only had this issues since redownloading. Its extremely annoying and feels like i'm playing at 30fps. I have no clue whats wrong. I have vrr enabled and low latency on and have no problems with other 60 fps in other games.

    Hello, how are you? Hope you're well. My name is Mateus. I'm an Independent Advisor and I'll be glad to help you today.

    First, welcome to the Xbox community. Since it was the update that caused this issue, and as reported apparently with this new update the game was very poorly optimized. You will need to wait for an update from Activision to improve or fix this issue.

    Anyway, check if the procedures below help alleviate this problem.

    Solution 1:

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
    Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Remove accounts
    Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.

    After removing the account follow the procedure below.

    Step 1. Press and hold the Xbox button on the console for at least 10 seconds to open the Power center.
    Step 2. Then unplug the power supply from your console and wait for 3 minutes.
    Step 3. Plug the power supply back into the Xbox console.
    Step 4. Press the Xbox button on the console to turn it on again.
    Now add your account again.

    Solution 2:

    Press the Xbox button.
    Open Settings.
    Go to Network and select Network settings.
    Select Advanced settings.
    Select Alternate MAC Address.
    Select Clear.
    Select Restart.

    I am having the same issues. Looking around it appears MW has not been even vaguely optimised for play on series x, seems even worse since the last update. I have friends who have no problems and others who endure awful fps like us, seems a bit random. Can't find a fix anywhere but I have logged the issue with activision support.

    I see the problem must be just that, I believe that soon Activision will release an update fixing this problem, anyway I suggest you get in touch with them too. You can be contacting them via the link below.
