Modern Warfare Broke my Xbox One S. Any ideas?

Yesterday I started up my console after I got home from class, as I always do, and decided to hop on Hulu for a bit. When I got bored maybe an hour or so later, I decided to start up Modern Warfare and make some campaign progress before my friends
got online. About halfway through the mission, I remembered my friends saying they wouldn't be on, so when I finished that mission (I only played one) I switched over to YouTube. about half an hour later, one of my friends gets on and invites me to a party.
I join, but immediately, the party chat gets disabled. It gave me some error message about my network connection being the problem, but I learned how to deal with that a while ago. This happens about once a month, but that's not why I'm here. Anyway, I switch
my power-up option to energy saving, which usually fixes the problem right away. It didn't this time. So I hard reset my console, only for it to only show my dashboard and not load the icons for the apps and games except for YouTube, and when I would flail
my left stick around, It was borderline unresponsive. the guide wouldn't even pull up either. I gave up after 2 hours or trying various hard resets including everything from shutting down the console to unplugging everything from the modem. I figured maybe
giving it the night off would make it better by the time I got back from class the next day. That brings us to here and now. I got back a little while ago, and now I can't even see my dashboard whatsoever. Nothing works on it at all, and it's completely non-functional.
This never happened before I played MW. Any ideas? Clearly, I can't get to the settings. And my External where the game is located isn't even plugged into my console right now, but I'm still looking at a gray screen that I think is the console's attempt at
bringing up the dashboard.

all has already been more or less said, I will not add except: Do not replay this game until they have patched the problem of freeze / crash. machines will really die. On my
side I abstain.

I’d have to recreate the circumstances of the issue, but if what i did is a solution until the game is fixed, it should be perfectly fine. Assuming the person in question uses an external hard drive, and have the game located there instead of the console
hard drive, unplugging the external from the console and hard resetting it until it starts working properly should fix it. Again though, I would have to recreate the circumstances of the issues to say that for certain. It took two resets after unplugging the
external for it to start working again. I do hope Infinityward comes up with the solution soon though.

Update: I fiddled around with my controller a little bit and my dash came up. Currently trying to sign in, but it's taking an extremely long time.
