Modern warfare asking me to purchase the game when I have the disc in my console

I had the same issue, for me what I found that worked was when I restarted my Xbox with the disc inside, I then started it back up and then launch the game from the Xbox home screen via the disk not by pressing the xbox home button on the controller and
starting at that way I have added a picture to show you what I mean

same with mine too, I got the full modern warfare disc, but it's telling me to purchase modern warfare, but only giving me the option to play warzone.

It didn't ask me to re-buy modern warfare, it only offered me modern warfare 2 as i hadnt bought MW2 i only have MW And I only got the disc for MW And the game case for it I never thought of MW2 before this. And on the game disc forMW it offered me MW2 or warezone I can't find anything on MW or its campaign on the disc.

You should be more specific, if you bought Modern Warfare as a disc. You have to have the disc in the console when you want to Modern Warfare. If you bought the game digitally, be sure to check your email for order confirmation and/or Xbox Live Notifications.
