    Modern warfare 2 won't do online multiplayer


    I just purchased an Xbox one S and also subscribed for the 3 month ultimate promotion. when signing in i get my correct game tag and say's

    I'm logged into Xbox Live. When I select Modern Warfare 2 to play it comes up normally, I then go to the multiplayer and select find a match and when I choose any style game the "finding matches" will just keep cycling through the steps never locking into
    a game.

    I tried this on the xbox 360 and it happens as well. Is there something wrong with the live account?

    Thanks for coming to the forums. We understand having issue connecting to matches. There most likely isn't anything wrong with your account. Its most likely the game servers itself. When you try and connect what is the NAT type on your console?

    Modern warfare 2 won't do online multiplayer

    Checking online, it seems that many others have had the same issue in the past weeks. It is more likely than not server issues on the game side rather than the system side.

    Edit: I've failed to see that those issues were with the new Modern Warfare rather than Modern Warfare 2.

    Are you playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 or Call of Duty: Black Ops? With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 an issue could be you are trying to play split screen online multiplayer over Xbox Live. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 does not support split
    screen online multiplayer. On the other hand if you are playing Call of Duty: Black Ops split screen online multiplayer is support however both accounts must be gold subscriptions (unless the 2nd user is signed in as a guest). If this problem proceeds please
    power off your console and wait some time and try again. Good luck! :)
