    Modern Warfare 2 Matchmaking


    Hi, I’m having trouble with matchmaking on call of duty Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer. This issue started ever since the game became backwards compatible on Xbox one. My NAT type is open and I have tried the game on multiple Xbox 360 and Xbox one consoles as well as two different networks. MW2 doesn’t seem to be the only problem tho I have the same issue in several games that use Microsoft’s Xbox live matchmaking server (XONLINE). I keep getting “Communication with the Xbox live servers have been interrupted” when trying to search public matches half of the time and my game client constantly freezes when trying to communicate with the matchmaking server. PLEASE FIX THIS!

    I see. Unfortunately, as the issue does not appear to be with the Xbox LIVE service, you will need to contact Activision for further information regarding the state of Modern Warfare 2 matchmaking.

    Hi there welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan and been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. You can try the following!

    Open the Xbox Guide by pressing the guide button on the controller and select

    Settings.

    Select Network Settings.

    Select Advanced Settings.

    Under Change Settings select Alternate MAC Address.

    Select Clear.

    Allow the console to restart when prompted.

    Only the name says Modern Warfare 3. If you take the name out, it's Black Ops. The controls are the same, the online matchmaking is the same, the world map in the bottom left corner is the same, everything is the same except the maps and the weapons. Nothing
    points to the old Infinity Ward quality of this game. This is 100% Black Ops Treyarch garbage.

    Only reason Activision is pulling impressive sales figures is because they renamed the game to Modern Warfare 3. Black Ops 2 wouldn't have sold even close to what Modern Warfare 3 is selling and will continue to sell.
