Moderate NAT when connected to UPC Horizon Samsung Box... easy fix FYI

Hi everyone,

So yesterday I finally had time to take care of the NAT issue when playing Multiplayer. Long story short: I was playing Gears of War 3 and Judgment multiplayer and I always had NAT type moderate...

I have contacted Xbox Support and unfortunately they had no idea about the router settings - fair, as they do not have to have all the settings. After that a bit of research and a solution came up:

1. On your PC in your browser type in
   http://192.168.192.1
2. Sign in to the Horizon Box using admin as login name and password.
   
3. Go to the Advance tab
4. Make sure the option uPnP is enabled and save it
5. Close the browser
6. Turn off the Horizon box and after 2 minutes turn it back on again
7. On your console go to Settings -> Network Settings -> and refresh the connection
   
8. Done, you should have now NAT as open in your Multiplayer Games

Please remember to restart the Horizon Box and refresh the connection on your Xbox.

Horizon UPC Problem

This issue is clearly an issue with the UPC Samsung Horizon boxes and not the Xbox One,

UPC seem to have updated there horizon boxes and it seems to be causing no end of different problems for people I know. I also was told by UPC that all boxes that are given out now have HDMI ports and will be compatible with the Xbox One.

The HDMI-IN on the Xbox One is only a pass through and if you are in the USA you have the option of using One Guide so it doesn't do anything to the horizon box so as I said It seems more then likely it is an issue with the horizon boxes not working with
a HDMI pass-through which is a UPC problem not a Microsoft Problem

It is unfortunate that you have to pay to get a replacement Horizon but if you were aware it was an issue why did you connect the horizon back up to the console?

 

XBOX One and UPC Horizon (Samsung SMT-G7400) - HDMI Power on/off command

I have just received a new Samsung Horizon (since merger Ziggo/UPC) and have connected my Samsung TV and Sonos wireless sound system. I have both vision and sound but cannot get the Power On/Off to work either. It worked flawlessly with my former Humax receiver.

I'm having the same issue. I can't login even though I'm using my UPC username and password?? I can log into the normal website so what I am doing wrong?

 

I dont get what you mean by username and password ? Where can I find this info ? Or was this something I made when I got the box ?

 

Do not use your UPC password, it is USERNAME: admin and PASSWORD: admin

That should do the trick
