MODERATE NAT ( Cant hear party chat! going insane )

Hi all I been having problems with this I spent all my birthday trying to get it to work with my dads help spending all his time at night we were up till 12 30 am trying to get this to work, nope no luck. I want to dump my xbox in the bin and go buy a ps4!
this is so bad I dont know why they should sell these , I cant hear my friends in the party chat I used to be able to now I cant I dont understand at all., I tried port forwarding many times that didnt work hard reset xbox and reset the router that didnt work.
My router is ASUS RT-AC88U and using wireless someone please help me.

Nat Issues Need Help I have an OPEN NAT

i have an open nat type and my friend who lives an hour away has a moderate nat type. for whatever reason i cant invite him to the party as it will give a cannot connect to xbox live party error. so i had him reset his router and he could join but sometimes
it will cut out to where i cant hear him but my friend who lives on the other side of the continent can hear him... why is my open nat type not allowing me to properly connect and hear moderate nat type users???

I'm having the same problem with it. I going the party and my friends cant hear me and I cant hear them. some times I cant even get into party chat, I get stuck into game chat

 

What is the make/model of modem you are using? Knowing that may help resolve this issue.

 

Is the TD-VG3631 set up in bridge mode? Your configuration has two routers which will cause all kinds of issues unless the "modem/router" is set in bridge mode. That means all routing capabilities of the TD-VG3631 must be disabled.

 

I was able to get open with my modem TD-VG3631 did the ports but my router wont let me get to open with ports ill rather connect to router its better net and cost me 450...

 

Exactly if you connect directly to the TD-VG3631 you are using it as your router as well as your modem and you do not have a double NAT issue. Set the TD-VG3631 up in bridge mode and then your ASUS router should take care of everything for you. You will
probably be able to turn off port forwarding and let UPnP make the decisions. The problem that you are having is with your network configuration not with your XBOX.

Please verify that your TD-VG3631 is operating in bridge mode and we'll work from there.

Then phone your service provider and ask if it's configurable as a plain modem, and if they can assist you with this process.

 

If it's their equipment, then they should know. If not first line, then second line should have an understanding of how-to. If not, then tell that person to get a new job

 

The vast majority of solutions are bogus and provide temporary open Nat. Usually the solutions end right back at moderate or strick. If your internet provider is providing you with an IPv4 IP address I would recommend my solution :

IF you are internet provider is proving you with an IPv6 IP addresss my ignore my suggestion.
