    Every time I turn my xbox one off for awhile , when I want to play online I always have to reboot my modem . This was not an issue with my 360. Can anything be done , its getting old rebooting my modem all the time.

    Best way to reboot the system?

    I think that the way that you rebooted it is fine. You basically treated it like a modem reboot Modem reboot :) I looked for more information but wasunable to find it. If you have this happen again, let me know. I'll contact Microsoft directly and get an answer for you, although I'm pretty darn confident that what you did is perfect!

    What Country/State/Province do you live in?

    Modem brand & model number:

    Router brand & model number:

    How many Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles are connected to this router?:

    Wired or Wireless (for each console):

    Things you have tried:

    Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/No/Unknown:

    Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type?:

    Any Error Codes you encounter:

    Who is your ISP? (Internet Service Provider):

    If the issue you're having is not NAT related then please further explain what the issue is.

    US,D-Link,DSL-2750B, Just the xbox one is connected, Wired,UPnP dont know, No NAT error, No error codes, Verizon which is now Frontier,was having the problem before they switched.

    Have you checked out this section of the forum:
    forums.xbox.com/.../3195.aspx

    The known issue with it is "The Xbox may receive an MTU error when testing the Xbox live connection. Check to make sure the firewall on this device is set to minimum if you are getting that error."

    Perhaps something there to look at.

    Also, check to see if there is any firmware update for your modem. Some older hardware/firmware setups can have connectivity problems with the like of Xbox Live, PSN and network intensive PC games.

    Honestly I would recommend rebooting the router and modem and see if it kickstarts it. Leave the system on, just reboot the modem to see if that brings it all back online.
