    "mode not supported" after restarting xbox


    I was playing and the keyboard got stuck on the screen, i restarted the console and now on the TV just shows "mode not supported" could anyone0 me a help please PS: im in skip ahead alpha

    If it says mode not supported it is the TV. What is the model number on your TV? Also, hopefully someone else can respond because I'm not too HDTV savvy.

    try turning on the display discovery in the xbox settings whilst using the composite cable, then try with hdmi again

    You might try posting in reddit.com/r/xboxinsiders that is where the insider staff are now located. Alpha Skip Ahead tends to have the most bugs given that it is the earliest builds.

    Yes it lets me connect perfectly fine after a restart, but i just have to do it manually after each restart. This is even on quick restart mode.

    Thanks for your reply. I found what the problem was! My xbox one was set in the quick start mode, so after downloading the game it didn't want to start (the game showed the start page "Rise of the Tomb Raider" and then only a black screen) because the xbox
    needs to be shut down completely and then restarted! Only after I completely restarted (not in quick mode) my xbox one did the game work.

    Are you using a dual band router that supports 2.4 & 5 Ghz modes. If so is the Xbox restarting no matter which frequency you attempt to use?

    Hello again, you must run CHDSK in DOS mode, after opening the CMD with Administrator permissions, type the command on the CMD screen:

    chkdsk /f/v/r/x

    The system will ask you if you want to run CHKDSK after restarting the system, press S on your keyboard and then type "Exit" and restart the computer, it will scan in DOS mode.
