Friend's Gamertag: Naive Krim



Today, my friend and I went into an online game of Free For All on Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Whenever the game started, the whole lobby got unlock all (all guns, all camos, all challenges completed). Neither of us knows who exactly was modding,
but I tried turning my Xbox off to delete the gameplay and whatever I "unlocked", but when I restarted the Xbox, everything was still there. I do not want to get banned and neither does my friend, because we did not know what happened, nor who was modding.
I called Xbox Support and they told me to post on the forums so my friend and I don't get banned/suspended for something that we did not do.

Support lied to you to get you off the phone and boost their cleared call records.

The Enforcement Team only post in the two Ban sections (one in 360 support, the other in the One section) forums.xbox.com/.../default.aspx. There they only tell you why you were banned, they don't take any other requests for help or information.

Provided you left the lobby as soon as this problem started then the chance are you'll be okay. They can tell how long you played for in each game.

Older Call of Duty titles are hotbeds of modding activity. If you must play them then it is best to set-up a private friends only lobby.

Abyss as long as you and your friend were not using mods/hacks then everything should be ok. You and your friend were just bystanders so you and your friend should not get banned. You might be able to call or email Microsoft and ask them to reset the things
that were changed. Hope this helped.

 

Sorry posting on the forums has nothing to do about whether or not your gamertag gets banned. If you get into another modded lobby be sure to immediately back out and restart your console to prevent this from happening again in the future.

 

Content from an Xbox account in Call Of Duty games, such as guns, camouflages, challenges, can only be unlocked if your gamertag is logged on an Xbox 360 modified console.

If you turned off your Xbox(Disconnect) while you were in game, by the game's standards, it DOES NOT save your progress, and it counts as a 'loss'.

Anyway, your account unfortunately did get a modification.

I believe it's up to the game devs and Xbox Live PET to judge what exactly will happen to your account.

I bet you'd get a reset, maybe to level 1, or maybe to the level you were before that happened.
