Mod support for State of Decay 2 lost

This appears to be cross environment (within Game Pass). SoD2 is just where I was using/noticed the change.

I pulled up a list of games that support modding through Game Pass, checked them on the platform, and none of them include the ability to enable mods as documented. A great example is Besiege, which includes the statement "Mod Support - Creating mods for Besiege has never been easier, the extensive documentation will help you get started."





The option to enable this isn't present.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Xbox App itself to see if I somehow had an issue with the platform with no change. I also attempted a Terminate, Repair, and Reset through Apps & Features with no change.

The delta between the two systems is Windows 10 (friend) vs Windows 11 (my system). Is there a setting somewhere that disables this within the client?

We know how important it is for you to have your game back with mods running. Based on what you have mentioned this happens after an update of the game. In that case, the game developers are best people you can reach out for this. May we know if by any chance you were having issues to multiple game title after an update?

Is the mod support you are referring to is mod (in-game content) support? If it is something else, would you mind to detail it out?

Since, Besiege Console (Game Preview) is a preview game which is currently in progress. In this example, it is visible in the description that the game developer stated a workshop for the mods. Are you suggesting the same thing? Please correct me if I'm wrong. For the best way to suggest or ask for an improvement to the game is to communicate with the game developer - in this example: Spiderling Studios.

Since you mentioned about Delta, are you by any chance a Windows Insider or an Xbox Insider?

But, If you were referring to something else, would you mind providing us more details in your next reply?

I'm having the same issue. None of my games have mod support, suddenly. I'm also on windows 11. My windows 10 machine still allows mods.

Submitting a feedback through the Xbox App:

1. Launch Xbox app installed in PC.
   
2. Navigate to the top right of the application and select your gamerpic icon.
   
3. Select “Feedback” in the drop-down menu.
   
4. Select “Report a problem”.
   
5. Click "Give new feedback".
   
6. Add [Xbox Forum] in “Summarize your feedback” followed by a feedback summary.
   
7. Category should automatically be selected.
   
8. Once complete, post the title of the bug report along with the submission date in this thread.
