After an hour and a half on the phone, I have come to terms with microsoft being unresponsive to any and all attempts at resolution to this issue, and is acting like a faceless monstrosity. Thank you for showing me, after more than 20 years of brand loyalty,
that you believe that the customer is nobody, and that I will no longer be supporting Microsoft as a company.

Yeah, exactly what Onyx mentioned. No offense to the Microsoft phone support, but they are not the best at helping nor remembering. So if it has been more than 20-30 days, then call them back.

It's been more than 10 days so I contacted customer support and they directed me here. Seems like there is still no solution

There's nothing to fix.The credit had an expiry date & you missed it due to you not reading the date properly.

Why is it ridiculous that Microsoft wont give you more credit because you messed up?

No one is going to help you out other than to tell you to check the expiry dates on things more closely in the future.

It's ridiculous because there's an utter disrespect for customer loyalty here. I contacted them two days after it expired, with intent to use the credit to purchase a $50 game. The fact that they can't give me back $20 I earned to make a $50 purchase on
their system shows how little they care about us. They'd rather lose a customer than give me back my $20. That's a dumb marketing strategy.
