    Hey there i thought this was the next big thing but they lack in the no 1 thing for mmo's social interaction chate sever clan chat etc all that good stuff use a keyboard kinda thing majorly turned off destiny atm cause dumb stuff like no notorious monsters
    with a chance at drop rare loot % based nothing feed in that area at all MMO? :(

    It makes too much sense to leave MMOs to PC Gaming.

    MMO?

    I would've appreciated a text chat function (though that tends to be rather clunky on console), or at least a proximity voice chat. However, I find it kind of endearing communicating with players only through the in-game actions. Everyone seems so nice when
    all you can do is point, wave, and dance with one another. At least you don't have a bunch of emotionally-stunted dunces raging at you. Much more peaceful.

    One: Bungie never said it was an MMO, so you can't really blame them for leaving out trademark MMO features like chat windows.

    Two: Chat in MMOs tend to be filled with people shouting for help repeatedly, looking for specific items for trade (though that wouldn't be a factor in Destiny as there in no trade feature), or arguments between players. In that regard, I'm glad there's
    no traditional MMO chat

    looking for MMORPG equivalent to World of Warcraft and Diablo.

    defiance is technically an mmo but the MMO elements run very thin. if you wanted mmo's you got the wrong console.

    MMO = Mini Multiplayer online so it is an MMO

    1 more reason not to buy MW3.

    Well, tell that to the tens of millions of MMO players who spend well over $160 the first year to play their MMO of choice.

    On the flip-side, I wouldn't want to pay MMO pricing for a non-MMO game. MW3 is not an MMO, so why would anyone pay monthly? That's just my opinion of course.

    Can an MMO work on the 360?

    Too many people are stuck with the idea that an MMO has to emulate gameplay aspects of previous MMOs like Everquest or WoW, but thats not true, not anymore.

    Just having the ability to allow thousands or millions of players to play on a same shared world already makes it an MMO.

    .

    Now, there are different types of MMOs, which refers to the players, but there are RPGs, Shooters, Racing games that are MMOs.

    .

    Defiance is an MMO Shooter, with, some RPG mechanics.

    Boring and I returned the game this past Tuesday. It's a MMO almost everything in the game states that its a MMO and I hate MMOs. Too bland.
