I appreciate the response, but as said above, I have tried all of those..

I also, 3 days ago, initially tried a digital copy. It didn’t work either so got refund and then bought it via disc and same issues persist.

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. I understand you've already performed a factory reset on your Xbox. When I run into problems with game discs not installing, these are the steps I usually follow, and they’ve often helped resolve the issue. Could you please try the following?

1. Uninstall the game (if the game is already installed, if not, proceed to step 2)

2. Restore factory defaults to your console. Please take note that this step will remove all the accounts signed in to your console and remove possible corrupt OS files.

To factory reset your console, follow the steps below.

a. Press the Xbox button to open the guide

b. Select Settings

c. Select System

d. Select Console info & updates

e. Select Reset console

Please select option 2 which is keep games and apps:

- Reset and remove everything

- Reset and keep my games and apps

- Cancel

3. Once all is set up, set the console Offline

- Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

- Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.

- Select Go offline.

4. Once offline, insert your game disc and install the game fully

5. Once fully installed, set your console online again, then install the update.

If the steps above don’t resolve the issue, it’s possible that there may be a problem with the game disc itself, particularly if your Xbox is able to install other discs without any issues. In some cases, certain areas of a disc can become unreadable due to scratches or manufacturing defects.

At this point, I would recommend reaching out to the game developer or publisher to explore available options. They may be able to provide a replacement disc or offer alternative solutions depending on their support policy.

Hi Brandon! I see, thanks for the update. Do you happen to have access to another network you could try connecting your Xbox to?

For example, you could use your phone’s mobile data by setting it up as a hotspot, then connect your Xbox to that network and try updating the game from there.

This can help determine if the issue is related to your current internet connection. Let me know how it goes!

I would try that, but only if it was having issues with other titles/updates, as stated in the original posting….

I was told by a Microsoft Rep if you got the MLB The Show 21 Jackie Robinson Deluxe Disc version the add-on code won't work until 4/20. What time on 4\20 I don't know.

Seems like those that got MLB the Show Jackie Robinson Edition Digital version was able to get the add-on content because it was tied to the MLB The Show 21 game code.

So we paid extra to get that MLB The Show New Era Cap and play the regular version of MLB The Show 21 four days early. SMH
