MLB THE SHOW 2021 controller issues

I bought my son MLB THE SHOW 2021 for Christmas and it’s been a total flop with all the glitches and issues. I’ve downloaded it from disk and online but the same results. When we try to use the Franchise mode we get all the way through to the controller select and it will not let us designate controller 1. Instead even with just one controller being used it puts us at controller 2. So we’re stuck at that point and unable to play. I’ve deleted everything and it worked correctly for two games but then went back to being unusable. I have a very sad seven year old who loves baseball. But I definitely won’t be buying any other versions of THE SHOW. Anyone else had these issues? Also in other modes the control won’t work at all but we can get into the game.

MLB the show will Possibly be released in 2021

A couple months ago,
it was announced that future editions of MLB: The Show may be available on platforms such as Xbox as early as 2021. The franchise has historically been produced and co-developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment. As part of a recent agreement, it was
announced that the game may be available on other platforms starting as early as 2021, and a corresponding tweet by Xbox insinuated that the games will be coming to Xbox. I haven't seen any official announcements since this one.

In the meantime, Super Mega Baseball 2 is definitely a different style of game than the officially-licensed simulation-style of MLB: The Show, but I think it does a really good job of capturing an arcade-y baseball experience that I'd recommend checking
out. Hope that helps!

The issues with this games release are nothing short of legendary. It had such high hopes, and enough hype that I actually bought a PlayStation for just that reason Not to mention the fact that it had the only really good baseball game on platform, MLB the
show. When I got the game though, it was interesting but not quite enough and then I’m stuck with a system that I bought for literally two games. Sold them off and didn’t think anything of it.

Cut to a couple years later, now this game is on Xbox one heck of an update in a serious revamp of everything, and now getting word that MLB the show will come out in 2021 for the Xbox. Good times

When it comes to the major sports, EA has a stranglehold on the licenses. There are other games as previously mentioned, even on Games with Gold this month you have a motorcycle racing game that's not EA. And Sony's MLB The Show was about to lose their license
from Major League Baseball unless they made their game available on multiple platforms and it was recently announced that (I believe) MLB the show 2021 will be on the XBOX and Nintendo consoles as well for the first time. It takes a bit of searching but you
can find billiard games easily enough and they shouldn't be too expensive.
