MLB on XB1

Alright Microsoft, spring is around the corner and a very important part of spring time in America is the start of the baseball season! I have been gaming on Xbox for years now and have been a big fan of sports games that you have provided, some of my favorites
are the 2k series of basketball and baseball as well as Madden NFL. i have played these games since I was a child. I am now pondering on trading my xb1 for a PS4 for one simple reason. There is no baseball game! I am also not the only one that is faced with
this disision, players I meet online also feel the same way. They are either having to buy a new system in the PS4 or trade there Xbox just so they can play baseball! Microsoft this is America! We need a baseball game (rbi doesn't count, smartphone games are
better). It doesn't make any scense that Sony (Asian made) provides a MLB game but microsoft (USA made) does not. It also doesn't make sence that you have taken the time to promote and create a cricket game before a mlb game. Come on Xbox!

No baseball game for XB1 or 360 2K sports did not renew the MLB license and MLB the show is SONY only.

I would love to see XB1 get a baseball game. Sony's mlb the show is awesome but it needs a rival.

 

It makes perfect sense when you realize Sony has first party license for MLB games. Blame 2K for no longer making their MLB games.

Microsoft didn't make a cricket game. Yes, there is one available on the One, but a totally different developer/publisher put it out. As has been said multiple times, making a new baseball game from scratch in 2015 is a risky proposition due to the lack
of sales of baseball games.

 

Okay mr. Egg, any new game made from scratch is a risk there are plenty of examples of them failing and succeeding. Do me a favor and look at the sales of Playstations MLB the show

 

Seriously just buy a PS4 if you want baseball MS has already said they are not doing it. It's a gaping hole blah blah blah.. Sell X1 for PS4 you get all the same games almost and you get a MLB game on top of that

 

Yeah hope Microsoft and XB1 are happy that they are loosing out on a lot by not making it

 

I looked at the sale for last years MLB the Show. According to vgchartz, it sold a combined 1 million across 2 platforms. If those numbers are correct, I would say that is a great reason as to why only one company is making baseball games.

 

^^ Exactly. Not to mention that 2014's The Show had a jump in sales by 40%, so that only shows how few copies of 2013 had been sold. Baseball games are a white elephant.

 

Polygon had an article up in the last couple of days talking about start up costs for sports franchises on consoles being a barrier to entry. The title of the article is "NBA 2K is bigger than Madden because it paid for others' failures".
