MisUnderstanding of name change

Hi Xbox Community,

About a month ago i came onto my xbox and noticed that my name had changed from HAIRYNIPS7 to JollyCalf68..... I cant even remember the following numbers ahaha. Now, i can see where this miscommunication could have occured from by the term "NIPS" but this
reference is not the one you are thinking of. The term "NIPS" i used because it was the abbreviation of my old pro clubs team on fifa with my friends. "NIPS" stands for Noosa Invincible Pommy Squad. Noosa is the place in which my mates and i grew up and as
i am from pommy descent have this as our name. I don't feel it is right that i have to pay $15 for a misunderstanding of my name and feel i should be granted one free name change.

Could you guys help me out?

My Xbox name was changed and I don't understand why

hello my name is weston And recently my account name was changed and I was told it was inappropriate but I think there was a misunderstanding. My account name now is "" and it used to be "RacistPandaHCC". The name RacistPandaHCC was a joke
I made up because pandas can't be racist because they are black, white, and Asian so if anything it's against racism and is basically a contradiction to its self so I was wondering if I could get my old name back that I payed 10$ for or at least a free change.

I wasn't trying to start anything. It was awhile back. Maybe when you guys first formed? I was away training for sometime. Theres nothing wrong with doing that. You gotta get the name out somehow. especially on a PC dominate website. Policies change. But
defending? I was just joking around about websites. Oh well. I think this has been a series of misunderstandings. Besides were both AD. Why fight? haha

 

Afraid not.Your previous gamertag violated the ToU/CoC which is why you were issued a forced name change.

As per the ToU/CoC you agreed to if you are given a forced name change you are given a random tag for free,if you want to change the tag you were given then you will have to pay the fee.

Doesn't matter what you meant the tag to mean,a certain word in your previous gamertag has 2 other meanings that violate the rules.

No. You can try submitting a case review at http://enforcement.xbox.com but the enforcement team will most like uphold their decision. You will have to pay if you want to change your tag.

 

Phone/chat support don't deal with enforcement matters & often give out the wrong info when it comes to enforcement matters.
