    Now my hard-drive looks empty. I know technically it is not but how do I go back

    to the time before I hit " Format" (and why is there no warning of the seemingly dire consequences of the format button?!

    Unfortunately you will have to reformat your harddrive

    So what you are saying is the secondary license stays even if I reformat the xbox harddrive? (This is my main account btw)

    the only way to fix it is to reformat your harddrive. unfortunately its probably an issue with your system
