Mistakenly Downloaded a Game

I recently (1/29) downloaded nba 2k13 when I meant to download 2k14. Recognizing my error today I purchased nba 2k14. Is there any way to refund my 2k13 purchase. I know it was totally my mistake.

My 7 year old son downloaded an add on for a game he does not own. How can we get a refund?

My son mistakenly downloaded an add on for a game that he doesn't own. I think he thought it was the full game. I was not aware that was doing this until he came running down the step in tears. Is there any way to get a refund??

No refund policy for mistakenly downloading the wrong content???

Not being able to reverse drm for downloaded content is a major flaw. Mistakenly downloading the wrong content is apparently irreversible and un-refundable. A simple accidental mistake in identifying content on the users part is a 20$ mistake if its a game.
This is inexcusable when Microsoft develops DRM and also manages its own credit system being the xbox_live point system. There should, at the very leas,t be a way to do a one time (once per year, etc.) credit to an account for mistakenly purchasing the wrong
content. Absolutely no refunds is not a policy, its robbery.

Never mind. I called Gamestop and they informed me that they had mistakenly told people that on launch day. Apparently the code to download the game is actually an insert in the game case itself.

To clarify. It's in 'Instant On' mode which I mistakenly called 'low power'. Automatically Dowload Updates is checked. In this case the system update didn't bother to download, not the game updates. I didn't have a choice to do anything. When I turned it
on it went to downloading and I got to stare at it. Game updates seem to be downloading with a brief 99-100% when they start.

Exactly the same thing happened to me, I mistakenly turned off my pc when it was 90% and the download no longer found, if I try to download again it disappears after a few seconds and the * install * button comes out again

You paid 20$ and received a partial datastream that equates to nothing. You essentially paid 20$ to microsoft for air, and since you already own the game you mistakenly downloaded, you actually paid for air you already own. Is it legal to pay for something
and not actually receive anything in return? did you finish downloading?

Mistakenly posted before finished. My bad. So I was charged for these purchases and they seemed to download but aren't in my console and they want to charge me again if I go to redownload. I checked my history and downloaded from there but it does the same
thing.
