mistake when creating a club

Your gamertag is like a nickname on Xbox LIVE. This identifies your account and can be viewed by anyone who looks at your profile. To change your gamertag you need to go to the Xbox Dashboard. Then you go over the tab "Social" click on your profile and scroll
over to the right. You will see all of the information on your profile listed there. Ex. Bio, Motto etc. Once you see that, to the rigt you will see, "Change Gamertag", click that. Once you have done that you will have to pay with your local currency for a
new gamertag. If it is your first time changing your gamertag it will be free. Just type in the gamertag you wish to have, or select one from the suggestions if you have a hard time coming up with one.

That's a great suggestion, you should make a post with that information in the
Feedback/Wishlist area of the support forums here so the proper folks can see and perhaps implement that in a future update of some kind.

Well, thanks for that... They should at least make the system able to recognize which GamerTag is being changed so that it excludes that, allowing you to modify your current GamerTag :/

Sorry, there's no way to get a free gamertag change. If you'd like to change the formatting of your gamertag you will need to essentially change it two times spending $20 or 1,600 Microsoft Points. There's unfortunately no way around that.

Your gamertag displays in the exact way that you first created it and the only way to change that is by spending money to change the gamertag.

I haven't done too much with xbox clubs but from what I have looked up it sounds like you only have the option to create a private club when it gives you the options when first creating the club. I did some looking myself and both times I created a club,
whether it started out as private or public, there was no way to change the club type when managing the club.
