Misstook the xbox backward capability, pls help :(

so i been in love with perfect darkness since N64 version and was blasted with joy when i heard about i could play it again on my xbox 1. but when i insert the disc after finally gotten my hands on it, it says its not recognizable. I then asked customer
suport for help and they said i had to come here to ask for an invitation for somthing i needed to be a part of to play. i rly had no idea about this so i ask if anyone has the can, could i plz get an invitation ? i was looking forward to play this all day
at work and when i got back it didnt work.

Unless you are in the Xbox preview program you will not have access to it until this fall. The Backwards compatibility has only been release to preview member right now. The only way to become a preview member is by invitation only. If i have answered

If you not in the preview program , you will have to wait until the holidays for the first 100. I do not know if Perfect Darkness is one the list yet.

I can invite you to the preview programme if you like but perfect dark only works in the US at the min and it cant be the dlc version just standard if you want a invite message me on live

Am I understanding OP tried to use a N64 disc in an XB1? If that is the case.. only XB 360 games will work on the XB1, not all discs.. and also those said games need to be added to the list before they are playable...

 

No he wasn't saying he used a N64 game on one lol.

they were saying they enjoyed that game when it was on N64. Perfect dark has been added to the list for preview members but its region locked game. Meaning one version for usa and different versions for different areas. Only the usa version has been added
to the programme so far

 

seriously Paul.. re-read his post...fell in love with perfect dark on N64.. found out he can play it again on the XB1.. tried to play disc... if I remember.. Perfect dark was released on N64 on disc...something tells me he tried the N64 disc..

 

Am I mistaken but since when did N64 have discs? One of the reasons Nintendo has lost 3rd party support is their willingness to do their own thing, which includes sticking with cartridges for the N64.

24 like Sega CD.. they came out with a piggy back CD drive...
