Missing the headset volume, headset chat mixer, & mic monitoring

Under the setting tab that you can bring up from the left side of the screen, I do not have the option to adjust the headset volume, headset chat mixer, and mic monitoring. One picture is of how it should look, and the other is what my current xbox screen
looks like. How do I get this to appear so that I can adjust these three things?

Chat mixer disappeared

I cant find mine either. I thought it might be that my headset was not able to perform that function but I checked the specs on it, and it can. However I am also only showing headset volume and mic monitoring. No chat mixer. Does anyone know how to fix this?!?!

quick headset ?

i have the microsoft xbox one stereo headset and ive noticed that when really loud noises happen during a game my chat icon appears on screen.

so im guessing my mic is picking up the sound, does that mean my headset is to loud? or is there a setting to lower like the chat mixer or mic monitoring?

What kind of controller are you using?

If a regular controller are you using the stereo headset adapter? If so all the control settings are on it, not the guide.

If an Elite controller are you using the stereo adapter or jacking your headset right in the 3.5 mm jack?

I am using a battlefield one controller with a turtle beach ear force recon 30x. The controller has 3.5mm jack. I have also tried an older xbox controller with the mic that came with the xbox, along with a turtle beach elite pro plugged into my battlefield
controller. So I have tried various combinations of controllers and mics, and this does not seem to fix the problem.

Other than the combinations of the controllers/mics when was the last time you cleared your system cache? While your console is on, hold the power button on the front of the console for like 15 seconds, let go and turn it back on.

I have already tried that, but thank you for the suggestion. I did some research and have found that I am not the only person who is having this problem.

I am experiencing the same issue and i cannot ungray the audio box that lists the following:

headset volume

headset chat mixer

mic monitoring

sandy the hippy

Ok, try this.

With headset in, press xbox button on controller...

Press RB to scroll right to cog icon(system).

Scroll down to AUDIO.

Here you should see several options

1.headset mic on/off toggle

2.headset volume

3.headset chat mixer

4.mic monitoring

Check these..

Turn on mic monitoring and adjust monitoring volume

Hello Tony,

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you have issues with volume. With the adapter, there should be volume control on the adapter itself. Are you able to access the audio settings where it says headset chat mixer, Mic monitoring and headset
volume? Here you should also be able to adjust the volume. Try a different headset if able to also.

Can't you hear anything on your headset? Follow this path and see if your headset volume is set to the right.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select the Audio & music icon at the bottom of the guide.

You can adjust headset settings like volume, chat mixer, and mic monitoring on the Audio & music screen.

just plug any headphone in the press the home button then scroll to the right. you should all see a settings icon, don't click on it but you should see head set volume chat mixer
and mic monitoring, put the headset volume all the way up then put the headset chat miver all the way to the left it will have a controller icon above it THAT IS THE MAIN ONE, then mic monitoring all the way up
