Missing Text for Keyboard and Popups

Hey guys! Need some help here. I am missing Words!!!

Okay. So When I get a notice that someone messaged me or that I got an achievement the actual words within the pop up bubble are not there. When I go to READ the message the message is there fine and dandy... But then... WAIT FOR IT!

When I go to reply.. the KeyBoard pops up right? Right. But... The Keys are missing! The little white box is still there but the actual markings for the letters are gone. Now when I go and click on a 'Blank Key' it still pops up as if I hit the letter that
was SUPPOSED to be there.

Any thoughts?

This was going on last night before I shut my Xbox One down and it is doing it again this morning. So rebooting did not solve this problem.

Can I use smartglass as a keyboard?

I was expecting that smartglass would allow me to input text with my phones keyboard, but all I get is a duplicated xbox control. I want to use it for Netflix and youtube.

Am I missing something? I have a wp8 device.

Keyboard and mouse

Keyboards work, even some compatible wireless keyboards. Mice do not and likely never will. Keyboard support is for text entry on Internet Explorer and apps, not in games.

If the console is set to instant on then this does not fully shut down the console and I would suggest doing an actual hard reset. In the guide menu on the left highlight setting and use the option to restart console from there.

Popup keyboard is having the same issue. Super zoomed in so I can only see the text box just at the bottom of the screen, cant see any of the letters.

ok so I've been talking to a Microsoft tech and the solution is as follows - 1. Remove your account 2. power down your Xbox 3. unplug the power at the back of the Xbox 4. leave for 10 mins 5. plug back in and power up 6. recover
your GT and everything should be working.

It will work straight away for text input during messaging and the likes.

Every time the Xbox would show a virtual keyboard on the screen for text input, the keyboard will work.

As for games, the game has to be specifically made to support keyboards.

Not all games are able to use keyboards.

For example Fortnite and Minecraft are popular examples for games that work with an USB Keyboard and USB mouse.
