    Missing profiles from non-LIVE accounts

After the latest update, all of the profiles on my 360 were missing. I was able to download mine (LIVE account), but both of my kids' profiles are missing. I've tried clearing the cache and rolling back the update without success. I feel bad for them because
they have both worked really hard towards goals in their games.

    Any ideas?

    :)

How to password protect your Xbox LIVE profile

    Xbox LIVE password overview

It is possible to download your Xbox LIVE profile to several different consoles. You may need to do this if you have more than one Xbox 360 console, or you want to play games at a friend's house. In such a situation, you may want to password protect your Xbox LIVE account so that no one else can sign in using your profile.

Set the console to remember your password

Once you have downloaded your Xbox LIVE profile to a console, you will be asked if you want the console to remember your password. The Remember Password option is usually off by default. This means that you will be asked for your Microsoft account password every time you sign into Xbox LIVE.

If you don't want to be asked for your Microsoft account password every time you sign into Xbox LIVE, select the Remember Password option.

Change the password protection on your profile

You are required to set the Remember Password option after you download your Xbox LIVE profile. However, you can change the password protection on your Xbox LIVE profile any time.

If you don't need a password to sign in:

Sign into your Xbox LIVE profile. After you have entered your Microsoft account password, select the Remember Password option.

If you choose the Remember Password option, you will not be asked for your Microsoft account password the next time you sign into your Xbox LIVE profile.

If you need a password to sign in:

You can restrict access to your Xbox LIVE profile on any console using your Microsoft account password.

    Steps to follow

    1) Sign in using your Xbox LIVE gamertag.

    2) Under Settings, select Account and then Account Security

    3) Choose the option for Password at Sign In.

    4) Select Require Password Here

You will be asked for your Microsoft account password the next time you sign into your Xbox LIVE profile.

How to password protect your Xbox LIVE profile remotely

If you downloaded your Xbox LIVE profile to another console and it is not password protected, or someone has compromised your password, you can change the password from a remote location so that no one else can access your profile.

    Change your Microsoft account

    1) Sign into accounts.live.com using your Microsoft account.

    2) Go to Account Information and, next to Password, click Change.

You can also use your console to change your Microsoft account password.

Note: If the Xbox LIVE profile you downloaded does not require a password to sign in (You selected the Remember Password option), you will not be able to restrict someone from signing into your Xbox profile even if you change your Microsoft account password.

You can remove your Microsoft account password so that other people cannot access your Xbox profile on other consoles. This will ensure that a password is required before signing into your Xbox profile.

Remotely set a profile password from a computer:

    1) Sign into your Xbox LIVE account.

    2) Under Settings, select Account, and then Account Security

    3) Choose the option for Password at Sign In.

    4) Select On All Other Consoles.

Once you have done this, a password will be required to sign into your Xbox LIVE profile on all other consoles.

    Help me please

    Hi all -

I have run into a problem that I can't figure out. I recently obtained a Xbox Live account. I have been playing games on a non-Xbox Live profile. Is there any way to switch game info from the non-Xbox Live profile to the new profile that is on the Live account?
    Any info is appreciated. Thanks

    Missing profiles from non-LIVE accounts

    Hi there,

sometimes a failure on the harddrive causes the console to think there is an update, but in fact the hard drive causes the issue.

The only thing you can try is to remove and reattach the hard drive, like mentioned on this link:

    support.xbox.com/.../add-remove-hard-drive

After that check the Settings - System - Storage section for Profiles to see if any are listed. If it shows no profile then I'm afraid they are gone.

If it happens again, then it could indeed be the harddrive failing and may need replacing

Are your kids' profiles stored online on Xbox Live, or were these offline Gamertags that were only stored on the console?

If there really is a storage device faulty as WPAK suspects, then I'm afraid your kids have lost their progress Missing profiles from non-LIVE accounts :(

May I recommend getting an USB drive for each kid, that they use as storage device on the console to store their accounts? Also make the kids' accounts an online account, so their Gamerscore and Accounts are also safely backed up in the Xbox Live service.

Xbox Connecting Issues [Not Comcast user]

    Hey there Barbouch!

As Misses Joust said above, Morocco is not an
    Xbox Live supported region
so we won't be able to guarantee a reliable connection from there.
It is sometimes possible to connect from a non-Xbox Live supported region by setting your account region to a nearby Xbox Live supported region. However,
that connection process is not supported or reliable.

I'm sorry to say that there isn't much we can do to get a stable connection from a non Xbox Live supported region.

trying to share my gold and it wont work

    1. Sign into your Xbox that you intend to use the Non-Gold profile with and set to the Home Xbox.

    2. Sign into your other Non-home Xbox with your Gold Account.

The idea is that the console that you use non gold profiles on should be set to the home Xbox. This way you can sign into any other Xbox with the gold account and access gold while the other non gold profiles access gold from the home Xbox.
