Missing letters on home screen

So while my Xbox One is in the main menu, certain letters are missing with just a blank spot where they should be. So for examples, "Microsoft E_ge", "_allout", "Metro Re_ux" etc. Has anyone else had this problem? Any way to fix it? I just got the system
over the holidays, so it hasn't seen much use yet, if that helps in figuring it out.

Notifications and system messages are missing letters

When a friend logs in and notification pops up its missing letters from their name. Also message boxes that pop up are missing letters in every word. Started yesterday. What is going on?

 

I have a 10 pound Microsoft Xbox voucher but I scraped off two of the numbers/letters of the code

I was peeling off to see the code when I got home and noticed I had ripped off two of the numbers/ letters of which made up the code. I need help to either get a new code or find out the missing letters/ numbers.

 

Try doing a hard reset on the console. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until it shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and power up the console. Test for results
