Missing Game Covers for Digital Xbox 360 Games

Some of my digital games in the My Games section of the dashboard have their game covers missing and just display a gray cover with a controller logo. How do I get the game covers to appear?

Greetings, ktovaio! Sorry to hear your covers aren't displaying properly. Does this happen for all of the titles you own or just a few?

As a first step let's have you clear your cache:
support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache. Then, redownload your profile onto your console:

support.xbox.com/.../profile-move-delete.

Background Not Showing My Achievement Art

Same with mine. Also in the store the game covers don't show and some tiles are missing on the dashboard.

 

I'm getting the same symptoms from my XBox 360. I have one with an external USB drive connected. Games are divided between the external USB device and the internal hard drive.

I've noticed over the last week from "My Games", select game images will not load - same thing as you, with just the gray cover and controller logo. It's consistently the same games that do this.

I've tried clearing the cache on both hard drives, checked the network, tried redownloading the games, etc. Nothing fixes it.

I did notice if you PIN one of the games with the cover art missing, the cover art appears fine from the "My Pins" screen.

It seems as though other XBox 360 owners are also experiencing this - I caught a recent conversation on Reddit about this symptom within the last two months.

 

I have the same problem. Hope somebody can fix it...

 

I'm having the same problem. 100% of my Arcade (XBLA) games dont have any cover art loading. My other GoD and Indie games have cover art loading just fine.

Everything worked perfectly until the most recent May 2018 system update broke it.

 

Seems no one can offer a way to fix this problem we are having

 

I experience exactly the same issue since a few weeks (probably since the May 2018 update). Cover art from Arcade type games are missing and only show a controller logo on a grey background. I've also emptied the cache on all connected storage devices. Didn't
help.

 

Not sure what they did but my XBLA covers are finally showing up now. Only covers missing are a handful of games that been pulled from the marketplace. But that was always how that worked.
