    Missing Game Captures Assistance


    The person I spoke with gave me a link and told me to post to the forums using these instructions "Then Hardware, Services & Account as the Forum, Account as Category and finally, please put Support as Type.". The only option I can select under "Forum is
    Xbox" so my mistake if this is not in the correct area.

    On to my issue. I've recorded a lot of clips on my Xbox One X and I've recently got the "Your game DVR is full, please delete some captures to upload more". From here I could always view the clips under "On this Xbox". They were on the hard drive of the
    Xbox but they just were never loaded to xbox live. Today I was trimming clips and deleting old clips to make room for newer clips so they could be uploaded to Xbox. I get to the point where the newer clips should be and they were not there. So I restarted
    my console and checked multiple times. The clips under "On this Xbox" seemed to have disappeared. The thing is I've watched them before and have came back to them I thought they would be saved on the hard drive but I guess something strange must have happened.
    There were also two extra clips there from earlier and the tech support member I spoke to told me to reset my console to factory settings (keeping games and apps) however after this the two clips that were still "On this Xbox" were gone as well. It's a strange
    issue and I'm still hoping I can still get access to my missing clips.

    Captures Missing

    This is a problem I’ve had several times before. I make a clip I like, I see it on my Xbox and upload it to Onedrive, and it’s gone the next day, from both the Xbox app and Onedrive. Is there any way to recover the missing clips? If so, how?

    Captures missing

    No i still have over 300 gb of storage available. When i go to view all captures it says i have 156. But when i view them theres maybe only 20. But even when i view my Storage capacity its still showing i have a large amount of clips saved. I only have
    2 games on my xbox also. Clips from now to 12 days ago are there. Then a alot are missing but clips from over 200 days ago are there.

    Another thing you possibly can check is if you have things saved for captures in your drives. That is if you have an external drive of course. If you just have an internal drive just make sure you were actually online and not logged out when you made the
    capture

    Sorry for your trouble Abigail Marie,

    did you notice any storage space problems during the gap time period? (i.e. games needing more storage space)

    You can check your storage space (aka hard drive space) via Settings>System>Storage.

    I am assuming you have only the internal drive setup to use for captures - how much of the internal drive space is used?

    Was there an external drive connected during the gap period?
