Missimg VIP Progress

I bought State of Decay 2 Ultimate Edition on Friday and I don't think I got MyVip star progress even though I already got the gems.

VIP Progress Reset

Before the new year, I only needed to spend $64 dollars to finally get to a 5 star V.I.P. and when it told me to check back on January 5th, it reset my progress. It now tells me I am 0% of the way to 5 stars as opposed to 96% or whatever it was before the
new year. What gives? Is all the money I spent to get more rebates back just gone because of a new year? I hope not and I still only need to spend $64 to finally get my 5 stars.

Some clarification on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
