Id agree with you entirely. Although there are some interesting first person platformers - Mirrors Edge, Mirrors Edge Catalyst, Superhot are good examples.

[/quote] I thought that with a game like Battlefield 3, Dice would want as many hands on deck as possible. That would mean taking away bodies from ME2 and moving them to B3 to aid in production. Read into 'halted production' what you will, but Mirror's Edge
received good reviews and has a moderate fanbase, which is pretty good for an experiment. I'm pretty sure Dice recognizes the game's potential. Thus I refuse to believe they would be foolish enough to scrap it entirely.

[/quote]Mirrors Edge received mixed reviews (Metacritic has an average score of 79 - not great) and the fan base is small. As I said before, the game was stopped because the original just did not sell enough copies, that is why they are not working on a sequel.
Had Mirrors Edge been a commercial success we would already have had Mirrors Edge 2!

Regarding Sunset Overdrive, it sounds really interesting, from what I read it sort of reminds me of cross between Mirror's Edge and Jet Set Radio.
