Miracast Support

Hey Guys,

I've been searching around for info on miracast support with X1 and haven't found anything up to date, so I thought I'd start a new thread. With today's announcement of Microsoft's wireless display adapter:

Is there any news on actual native support for Miracast on XBOX One? Like many of you, I want this feature badly. I'm willing to wait as long as it takes to have it work natively with Xbox. I'd just like an answer if it is actually coming or not. Otherwise,
it's dongle here I come.

The last thing I heard and seen was that the Xbox One will have Miracast "receive only" capabilities as this was demonstrated last year at the Microsoft Partner Conference. They were sending content from a Surface Pro to an Xbox One. Perhaps in the coming
year/years

 

AMD does support Miracast with it's more recent APUs, so maybe the Xbox (which uses an AMD APU) does already have the hardware to do it. That would be fantastic if it does.

Here's the post where an MS MVP said it was demonstrated. The
post is from July of 2013, so I am skeptical it's completely true. If they had it working over 14 months ago for private showings, why isn't it available to the public now?

Thanks for the reply guys! Yes, I saw that post earlier, and feel like you do that if it was working then, it should be available now. All I'd really like is for Microsoft to say "Hey, we're working on it, hopefully it will be available soon." Not just hoping
and guessing. Thanks!

 

I would also like to see miracast. I recently picked a sp3 and am hoping that something is in the works. The dongle news was slightly disappointing in that I already have a $500 dongle hooked up to my tv.

 

Micracast is the most important feature.

 

I want miracast too. Please, could you add it?

Where is the wireless display app? This should have been enabled a long time ago - Preview members have had since April 2015!
