Miracast on Xbox One not functioning

Miracast recently came to the xbox one and I attempted to use it. After realizing that it was a wireless technology that would not work over ethernet I purchased a Intel® WiFi Link 5300 AGN. I installed it into a spare pcie 1x slot and installed the latest
drivers from intel. Despite that i still get this:

I stumped as to why this is still not working.

An app did in fact come out last week. You need to have this app installed and running!

So I went looking and found something to run in cmd. Got this result. Looks like intel's driver is to blame.

Hi there,

I don't believe the Xbox One has Miracast capabilities like you can do on a Windows 10 PC. There is no app available for the Xbox One in the Microsoft Store to be able to cast what you are doing to another device. There was a preview program testing it for
Xbox One to a Windows 10 PC a few years ago, but it never was actually released because the app was full of bugs and issues. From what I've seen around online, the project is dead and no longer in development unfortunately.

You can stream your gameplay from your Xbox One to a Windows 10 PC through the Xbox app. You just need to connect your console to the app through the app settings and they just have to be on the same network for it to work. Here is a guide for more information:

There's currently an app being tested in the Preview Program that will add Miracast functionality to the Xbox One. No word on a public release date for that app, but keep an eye out for it in the future.

This functionality is typically called "Miracast" and it is currently not enabled yet. Some people have purchased miracast receivers and use the HDMI IN port to do this at the current time. This feature has been HEAVILY requested and I too hope we see
it on the dashboard soon as it would really make the platform shine.
