    Minesweeper keeps resetting to Level 1 for no reason


    Why does Minesweeper keep thinking I died and go back to level one at random times. The last time I was at Level five hundred or so. This time it happened at Level 31. In both cases, I had five lives left when it did this.

    Minesweeper Adventure

    I played Minesweeper Adventure for the first time and went through several levels. Now upon going back in to it, I am brought to the screen at Level 0 and upon clicking on anything, am kicked back out to the computer's start menu screen. I have tried this
    several times and it keeps happening and I am unable to play this version of Minesweeper. This game was fun while it lasted, please help!

    Minesweeper problem

    Hello,

    Microsoft Minesweeper gets stuck or freezes frequently lately. I have tried to see what i can do from my end to fix this (defragmenting, cleaning programs etc)but it keeps recurring. Especially when i complete a daily task it's annoying because it doesn't
    save anything when it freezes. It occurs on all levels and also during the normal game at the beginning or end of a task/level. I also play Microsoft Mahjong and have no problems with that, only problems with Minesweeper.

    What can i do?

    Reset to level 1.

    Unfortunately I don't think you'll ever get your rank/stats back now that they have been lost. Epic don't have much to say - they are trying to come up with a patch but it will only help future users and not give rank back to you guys who have lost data.

    Minesweeper Level Advancement

    So there are 600 levels now...

    I see, yet I am still gonna be faster as I already did 50 levels today (Now I am level 300 or Silver GM 1 if I was on solitaire), lets hope I will beat the clock and get to the max level until 2024 arrives.

    The only thing bothering me is feeling that I am so done with minesweeper, but I will try my best to keep improving and not quitting this grind.

    Update I grinded a bit more and now I am level 355 (Silver GM 12)

    Rewards Level Reset?

    Ranks reset each year. They were just reset on January 1. In order to keep your level, you need to spend either the same amount or more each year.

    I can't tell right now I am only level 250, but rapidly approaching my target of gold GM. Hope I will also get to level 500 as I want to see, if it is the borderline.

    Btw I think Microsoft should add sublevels to bronze, silver and gold GM like in Microsoft solitaire, like Bronze GM 1-20, Silver GM 1-20 etc. I find it somewhat useful

    First of all, thank you for giving such information, I actually never thought that the creator himself could get himself obsessed to the point of removing the game from machine.

    Second, well it is still not an obsession, just because I know my limit and when it is better to concetrate on my life, than putting mindless amount of time playing minesweeper, I am just keeping myself balanced at both fun times and hard times, and if needed, put hours into something more serious than playing game for secondary purpose.

    I hope I just dont burnout because of a logic based game (for the most of the time), that will be even more frustrating, if I dont reach my target because of leaving, than failing to do the objective within time limit
