Minesweeper continually asks to renew Premium when it has already been renewed

Running Win 10 Anniversary edition. I renewed my Premium version of Minesweeper on Sep. 19, 2016. Prior to that, I was experiencing absolutely no problem with the game. Since renewing, every time I start the program (that would be daily) I get the message
that my Premium membership has expired and asking for me to renew it. I always select a one year renewal, and then it comes back to say that I now have the Premium version renewed. The game then plays normally. No additional charge is made to my credit
card during this process. I have tried removing the program, rebooting, and then downloading and reinstalling, but nothing I do stops this notice from appearing each time I start the game. Please help as this is beginning to get very, very annoying! No,
there is nothing wrong with my computer and everything else I do with it works normally. Minesweeper Premium is the problem. Help!

How to Renew your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership

Overview of Xbox LIVE Renewal

When your current Xbox LIVE Gold Membership is about to run out, you will get a renewal message on your screen.

• Month-to-month membership- Notification comes 15 days in advance
• 3 or 12 month membership- Notification comes 30 days in advance

Xbox LIVE membership can be renewed using a credit card, a debit card, or a Prepaid Gold Membership Card.

If your automatic membership renewal (auto renewal) is set to off, you can purchase a new subscription or use a prepaid membership card to renew your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership.

Renew with a payment option by purchasing a new membership:

Steps to Follow

1) Use your Xbox LIVE gamertag to sign in.

2) Under Settings, select Account.

3) Proceed to Your Memberships, and select the membership that you currently have (for example Xbox LIVE Gold)

4) Select Modify Membership and you will be presented with a list of renewal options. If you are on an Xbox LIVE Free Membership, you can choose to upgrade to Gold Membership.

5) Select a membership option, then Confirm Purchase.

Once you have confirmed your purchase, the following will happen:

• The payment option you are using will be charged immediately.
• The time subscription plan you have just purchased will be added to your remaining subscription time.
• Your Xbox LIVE Gold Membership will be activated and auto renewal turned on.

Take note:

If you use a credit card as your payment option, you cannot remove it on file until your current membership expires.

There is a procedure you can follow to add or change your Xbox LIVE payment option.

Renew with a prepaid membership card

It is possible to renew your Xbox LIVE membership using a Prepaid Microsoft Gold Membership Card. This card is available at retail locations.

If you choose to redeem a prepaid Xbox LIVE membership code, you will be added time to your existing Xbox LIVE membership, while your renewal settings will remain unchanged.

How to turn on auto renewal (for existing membership):

If you are already on Xbox LIVE Gold of Family Pack membership and you want to turn on auto renewal without purchasing new membership, you should contact Xbox Support.

How to Troubleshoot Xbox LIVE renewal:

If there are issues with your Xbox LIVE account, you might receive the following messages. The solutions are provided below:

• Error: Your credit card has been declined several times by our billing service.

This means that your credit card has expired, or the information on it has been changed. To solve this problem, there is a procedure you can follow to change payment option for Xbox LIVE membership.

• Error: 8015d080

In case you receive this error message, you need to contact Xbox Support.

 

Offered free EA access for 1 month when i renew my gold membership.

On my dashboard i was offered free EA access for 1 month when i renew my gold membership. I renewed my membership and i haven't received my EA access code yet even though the money has been taken for my membership renewal. Any idea when i will receive the
code? It been 10 days since i renewed this and no code has been sent. Ive also spoken to someone on live chat and sent them a picture of the offer that i clicked on to renew.

 

This happens to me also. Roughly every two to three weeks I get a renewal popup.

 

I keep having this happen also, even though my subscription is paid up until March of 2017. We pay for the benefit of not having to see the adds, but yet we are forced to anyway. This is happening more & more lately, 3 times just in the last week for me.
If it continues, I will never pay a Microsoft subscription fee again & therefore, probably quit playing the games because the ads really **** me off

 

This has been happening to me also. It once even charged me again. What can i do to fix it?

 

I just had the same issue after an upgrade yesterday (12/9/16). I opened minesweeper and clicked where it says to upgrade to premium (in the ad box) on a hunch. Another screen popped up and said I already had upgraded and to click on upgrade again to have
it updated on my computer. I did so and the premium addition was back. Apparently the upgrades change/wipe out the file on the device that remembers that you have already upgraded.

 

OK Microsoft - I think that 4 months of waiting for you to even reply to this problem is more than sufficient! I have tried calling you (what a bunch of clowns who just keep sending you to another "tech" who has no idea what is going on), to emailing you
(another complete waste of time with people who have no clue), to live chat (more fun being sent from person to person, all of whom couldn't tie their shoe laces without help!) I have come to the conclusion that Microsoft has become so bloated as a corporation
that it can no longer provide any support functions whatever! Your support system is populated with people who have no idea what customer service is and are fully incapable of providing any semblance of support in correcting what is clearly your problem. So
- guess what - if this problem isn't fixed by this time next month, I will not renew my subscription to your games primarily so that I will not have to experience the support idiocy which is obviously now your policy. The clock is running Microsoft - as if
you really care what I think.
