MineSweeper: Can't Sign-In

I am unable to sign-in to MineSweeper on Win10. I get a message stating: "Sorry we can't sign you in. Try signing on at Xbox.com then start this app again." I successfully signed in at Xbox.com using Edge. However, I still cannot sign-in within MineSweeper.

I tried rebooting my computer and reinstalling MineSweeper. My computer is fully up-to-date.

I can successfully sign-in to Microsoft Solitaire Collection on Win10 so the problem seems to be unique to MineSweeper.

I do not own an X-box console.

Sign-in Error

I can't sign in to my account on Minesweeper. Help

 

Can't play since Win8.1 update

Can't sign in to Minesweeper or Mahjong but Minesweeper is letting me do daily challenges but not with my stats. Taptiles won't open. Games wants me to sign in everytime. Store signs me out at random moments and the won't sign back in until reboot. Games
have been un and re installed many times. Troubleshooters have been run. Twitter sessions have been done but I am left in this state

 

I am having the exact same problem with Microsoft Sudoku. I signed in successfully on Jan 6, and haven't been able to sign-in since. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the app, can sign-in successfully using Edge and Chrome, can successfully login
to the XBox app, have no issues playing a game of Solitare and having my account reflect it was played via Edge. My Windows 10 indicates everything is current. I am using a Surface 4 Pro.

 

Perhaps it's relevant. I, too, am using a Surface Pro 4 (will all available updates).

To check if it is computer related, I signed in on another computer (Dell XPS) and had no problems.

 

All of the microsoft apps that can sign into xbox are giving me the same problem. Surface Pro 4 here.

 

Same here (also Surface Pro 4) -- any game that has 'Xbox Live' on its tile is fine but any with just 'Xbox' including minesweeper won't

 

I'm having the same issue with Microsoft Jackpot. Also the problem is only on the Surface 4 pro. Everything works fine in my desktop and laptop.

 

I'm also having this problem on Surface pro 4 for Mahjong and Sudoku. Just downloaded and tried minesweeper and it's doing it there too. I actually have no problems playing these games on my old Surface pro 1 (with windows 10 installed on it too). The only
game that works on surface pro 4 is Microsoft Solitaire Collection.

 

I spent some time this morning in Microsoft chats trying to see what we need to do to get some attention. As irony would have it, my Surface Pro ran out of power and shut down when I was finally starting to make progress. I was sharing this thread, so
I was hoping to login tonight and see a Microsoft response.

Sadly - no such luck.

 

Just completed a chat with Microsoft. The person I chatted with was very focused on the problem being on my side. She disregarded everything I shared that we had tried and insisted on stepping me through everything again: check for game updates, check
for Windows updates, run a troubleshooter on why my tablet was not updating, then she wanted me to uninstall and reinstall, and I declined to do that one again (already tried and lost all my offline game progress). She then took me into Microsoft billing
and had me toggle my account type off personal and then back on. Apparently on their end it showed as business. Then I got a reference number and was asked to wait a few hours and try again. Very frustrating. If I based my companies support to our clients
on the premise of disbelief, we wouldn't have any clients.

She was not interested in anyone else's names. So if any of you guys want to try, I can at least share a link to get you close:

Same here. Seems to be a Surface Pro 4 Problem from the looks of this thread. I'll try on my desktop at home tonight. This also just started this week. Last week I could log in fine on my Surface.

 

I am also having the issue where all of my app based games on Windows 10 have stopped being able to log into Xbox Live. The Xbox app logs into Xbox Live as does signing in via www.xbox.com.

I have tried the following games: AlphaJax, Cut the Rope, Disney Fairies Hidden Treasures, Gravity Guy, Halo: Spartan Assault, Hexic, iStunt 2, any of the Microsoft games like Bingo, Jigsaw, etc. All have issues signing into Xbox live.

Things are working fine on my Surface RT (running 8.1RT) so it is not my account but something specific to a Windows 10 PC.

 

Third chat with a tech. The action we took last night had no effect. Tonight they wanted me to get rid of all my other accounts, and when I said I didn't have any other accounts, they wanted me to add an account. Then it was suggested that I log a post
on a different forum. I'm not being very cooperative at this point.

End result, they submitting an 'investigation to the advocate team' and will be sending me an email in the next 24-72 hours. I also found out that there are admins that monitor the forums and respond to threads.
