Minecraft's trying to make me re-buy?

Hiya,

I've had Minecraft: Java since April 17th 2015 and have been playing it off and on for years. Recently my yearly 2 week minecraft urge has comeback and i'm trying to reinstall the game. However I log into my microsoft account as I Migrated last year and its saying I don't own the game? Even in my microsoft account its telling me i have never bought anything on it? No matter what forum's I look at or bots I speak too I cant find why this has happened.

Could someone please tell what has gone wrong? I would like my game back.

Based on your description, you are unable to locate your purchase with Minecraft in your account. May we confirm if you purchase the game from Microsoft Store?

If you have played Minecraft before this issue happen (you were asked to repurchase the game again) with your migrated account, please try to check your Xbox account if there is an achievement or at least a Minecraft in your list of games. Please check through this link: Xbox Profile | Xbox

Since you are playing Minecraft Java, you may try to check Minecraft website and see if you are still familiar with your username in the game and if you were not asked to buy it - Login | Minecraft.

Lastly, may we confirm if the error message you are seeing is Demo Mode? If yes, try to check these support articles related to the game:
