Minecraft Xbox one online multiplayer

Having issue getting my sons profile permission to play online. His profile is set to teen, allowed to play online multiplayer but when he tries to play online Minecraft Xbox One Edition he gets an Xbox notification saying he cannot due to his settings.
What's to be done anyone?

Minecraft XBOX360 multiplayer NEVER works! Pulling my hair out!!

The multiplayer box is allways grayed out with the message " No online games found " My kid has a xbox live gold membership and plays other xbox online multiplayer games all the time. JUST NOT MINECRAFT!!! What are we doing wrong!!!

 

Minecraft Xbox One Download - online multiplayer problems

Frustrated parent here....downloaded Minecraft Xbox one edition last night for my two boys. In their privacy / online settings they have multiplayer enabled but when trying to create an online game it states they do not have multiplayer permission. Any thoughts
from anyone or anyone experiencing the same problem? They can play other games online, there's just an issue with this one.

i had the same issue. I got it to the point where they could join if they are set up as an adult. But now if they try to start a game online it just crashes.

 

Having the same issue... keep getting the You can't play multiplayer games online message even though I have updated everything in the privacy and online safety settings. Any fix out there yet?

 

Exactly the same problem here. My son can play Fifa 14 etc. online, but when he tries to play Minecraft he gets the message that he can't play online games. We've tried resetting the teen setting, and Blocking then Allowing online play but Minecraft still
doesn't work.

 

My Kids are receiving the same errors on the 360 version.

 

My son has exactly the same issue with the XB1 version. At least we aren't the only ones!

Same problem here... I set my daughter's profile's settings to Teen (making sure the multiplayer settings were on "Allow") and we're still getting the same error.

 

We are having the same problem here. All settings set to allow, but an error is displayed. I wish support would jump in and help us out here. My daughter (and I) are very frustrated!

 

Short-term fix: after you've chosen which world to load, uncheck "Online Game" on the next screen. You'll be playing offline and no one from Xbox Live will be able to join your game, but couch co-op will be allowed.

@ I had the same thing. Under privacy settings I changed my sons web content from child to general with Adult content warning and put content rating up to 16 which kept the teen rating.

Thanks to @Ballistic Dross for the above suggestion. Unfortunately this hasn't resolved the issue, I've even given my kids the same settings as myself(my profile works multiplayer no problem, aren't I lucky!) to no avail. Fear not, their settings have been
put back to child safe ones now much to their displeasure, almost as much as STILL not being able to play with their mates online in MINECRAFT ONLY.
