Minecraft Xbox One Online Multiplayer Broken

2 friends and I have tried to join each other's games and even created new worlds to try and join and every time we get a long load screen followed by "Connection failed Connection to the server was lost. Exiting to the main menu." Clicking "OK" sends
us back to the main menu. Online MP was working fine before the update.

We are having the same problem here. All settings set to allow, but an error is displayed. I wish support would jump in and help us out here. My daughter (and I) are very frustrated!

I've been having the same problem. I have been able to join a multiplayer game once since the update, and at the moment cannot even see multiplayer games. The Xbox reports that NAT is Open and that the console is connected to the multiplayer server.

Online multiplayer has always been a little broken in some sense.

Private multiplayer has SOME functionality, but agreed public online is broken.

Well the reason for that is the population".

There are problems caused by low population (lack of games, lack of games with good Hosts for any given players) but the game has issues beyond just a low population. The netcode isn't that good and while I am certain not everyone has severe issues, it's
far more common than it should be.
