Minecraft XBOX One- No (or very little) animals in any of worlds

Hi,

Returning to the game after a LONG absence, I've noticed that there are almost no animals in the world. Is there some way to fix this?

Kinda not fun not being able to make a bed or eat anymore.

Just regular vanilla minecraft, survival mode, single player.

Any help is much appreciated.

No animals

Hello,

i'm playing in a great world in minecraft and i played a lot of time in this world, but there comes no animals. Sometimes, when i search animals trough the world, i find some. I have no dogs, but there comes mobs

Why do there spawn no animals in this world?

(in my other worlds there comes animals ...

No squids nor wolves

I have a 1.7.3 world that used to have plenty of wolves as well as other non-hostile animals. I have 4 in my house as pets. Not one has spawned in the wild since the 1.8.2 +1 update. I have two 1.8.2 (first patch) worlds that used to have dozens and dozens
of wolves but sheep were extremely rare. I have 9 pets in my house and 4 more parked outside in one world alone. Since the 1.8.2 +1 second update, not one new wolf in ANY world. In fact I don't think I have seen a wild wolf in Minecraft since 1.8.2 +1 in
any world what so ever.

Under 1.7.3 I had a nice balance of wolves and sheep/animals. Under 1.8.2, I rarely had sheep at all. So rare that in 4 worlds I had gathered enough wool for one bed in one world. Since the 1.8.2 +1 update patch, I have normal levels of sheep and animals
but wolves have ceased to spawn at all.

They need to return to the 1.7.3 spawn formulas.

I noticed there are very few animals. and villages. There needs to be a way to customize your seeeds a little more. For now we are ditching the xbox version and are going backk to the pc version were the mods and resource packs are free. This is another
example of a fun game they watered down and found another way to charge people for every add-on. please fix this version of the game before we lose all interest in it.

Sadly this is all due to the way the spawning algorithm works, for a good explanation of bedrock spawning mechanics check out gruvaguy on youtube he has a well explained video about it.

As a side note you will have many animals in your world that are spawned but due to spawning mechanics or more despawning mechanics the mob cap will be full. To remove the problem however enable cheats and use /kill @e which will kill all entities and you
should then get spawns happening again in your locality.

Please do make sure that both consoles are running "Minecraft", and not "Minecraft Xbox One Edition".

While "Minecraft" is able to load "Xbox One Edition" worlds, you can't save/import "Minecraft" worlds into the "Xbox One Edition".

Check the game tile before you play the game:

Minecraft Xbox One Edition has "Xbox One Edition" in the name itself, and shows the game Character "Steve" with a pickaxe and a dog leaving a forest with some critters following them.

The Xbox Minecraft without "Xbox One Edition" is only named "Minecraft" and shows the game characters standing on a hilltop with several animals and mobs around them.

So really make sure that you are using "Minecraft" on both console, and not "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" on your original Xbox One, and "Minecraft" on the Xbox One S.
