Minecraft Xbox One Edition price issue.

I have just recently bought an xbox one. I already own the 360 version of Minecraft, so I wanted to upgrade to the xbox one version. I was under the impression that the price for this was about £3.59. The product page also says that it is available from
£3.19.

I cannot see the option to purchase it at this price. It is still listed at full price on both the game portal on the xbox one and on the xbox.com site. I have read about a number of other people having this issue and the solution is not clear.

I would like to get the upgrade but not at full price. Some help with this would be appreciated.

Hi, the offer to get Minecraft Xbox One edition at a discounted price if you played the Minecraft Xbox 360 edition has expired. It expired back in February. You will have to pay full price if you want the game on the Xbox One.

Hi Kris! I've had a few people with this issue this week. You can call the support team and have them push it through, apparently. Let me know if you need a phone number for your country (and what country that would be)!

When this issue came up in the past, the way to fix it was to log in to your Xbox 360 and start Minecraft. Then exit the game. The system has to see that you have played it recently in order to offer the discount (proof that you still own it or something).
However, it can take several hours to a few days to go through the system and register that you still have it.

The same thing happened to me and this fixed it.

 

Actually just did some digging, and it looks like the upgrade offer ended on February 25 (news.xbox.com/.../games-minecraft-launch-on-xbox-one)

Thanks for the help guys. Mojang and Microsoft`s sites both say the deal ended on the 25th of February. I got my Xbox on the 26th. Neither site explains why the offer was arbitrarily stopped on that date

It looks like I have to pay the full price.. again. Thanks Microsoft.
