    Minecraft Xbox One Edition - MODS


    I have a question, I saw some videos on Youtube where some people installed texture packs (like the Shaders MOD) on Minecraft for Xbox One where they used apps from Xbox One Store (like FileDownloader or UFO.Transfer).

    My question is, If I install those texture packs like Shaders Mod, Can I be banned or something like that? Cause I want to use that texture pack but I´m not sure if it´s safe.

    Hi PianoScarf38288 (and son)! At the moment, Minecraft: Xbox One Edition doesn't support third-party mods, and there are also no mods for download through the Xbox / Windows Store. This may change in the future, especially with the Better Together Update
    coming to Xbox One, Windows 10, and Pocket Editions this Fall, but at the moment there is no mod support in Minecraft: Xbox One Edition. Sorry, but I hope your son still has a blast in Minecraft!

    Hi,

    I have been playing Minecraft since 2013, and have experience with Minecraft: Java Edition for PC, Minecraft: Pocket Edition, Minecraft: Xbox One Edition (which I think you are referring to as 'legacy'?) and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition for Xbox One, Windows 10 and mobile devices.

    'Diamond apples' have never existed in any 'vanilla' version of the game.

    That being said, they could be included in some modded versions of the game, or perhaps in an add-on pack. However, many mods are only applicable to Minecraft: Java Edition, and the original question never mentioned a modded version of Bedrock, leaving me to believe it was merely a misconception.

    Moreover, Bedrock Edition is a completely separate game to Xbox One Edition (which was its predecessor). There were no possible mods for Xbox One Edition, and 'diamond apples' did not exist in that version, meaning that there was no way in which to add them.

    Minecraft (Digital Version) Plugins

    Plugins/mods like that is only available for Java Edition of the game. Xbox One do not have support for any mods for Minecraft.
