    Minecraft XBOX One Edition -> Minecraft Better Together (saves)?


    Do saved worlds from the Xbox One Edition automatically appear in the better together version? If not, what is the process to get them to appear? My kids don't want the latest version if they can't keep what they've worked on for years...

    There are currently two versions of Minecraft on the Xbox One; the Xbox One Edition (which is no longer supported but remains playable if you own it) and the "Better Together" which is the version that has the cross platform feature. Late last year we had
    a promotion in which if certain criteria was met, owners of the Xbox One Edition would receive a digital copy of the Better Together Minecraft. This is no longer valid, but we still have an article with the details of the offer at Minecraft

    Minecraft XBOX One Edition -> Minecraft Better Together (saves)?

    The worlds that you worked on in the Xbox One Edition will be there waiting for you in the play screen in the new Minecraft. When you convert them you can continue playing in the world. The worlds you saved in the Xbox One Edition
    will still be there if you choose to keep playing the Xbox One Edition.

    Hey Jeff,

    The way to do it in the New Minecraft (Bedrock Edition) Is to sign into the profile that created the world on the Xbox One Edition and under the Worlds tab like Nikolaus81 mentioned, you might need to select "Sync Old Worlds" in
    order to see them in the list though. Minecraft XBOX One Edition -> Minecraft Better Together (saves)? :)

    Hi Dylan,

    Thanks for keeping us updated with your replies. If the version of Minecraft you're using on disc is the Minecraft: Xbox One edition, then to update to the new Minecraft (Better Together), you'll need to purchase the game as it is a wholly different version.
    The free update from Minecraft: Xbox One edition to the new Minecraft edition (Better Together) ended on January 30th 2018.

    In order for the two of you to play together you would both need the better together version of minecraft. If you have the xbox one edition of minecraft it is not compatible with the pocket edition.

    "Minecraft: Xbox One Edition" has been replaced with "Minecraft" after the Better Together update, which receives the Aquatic update. Other console specific editions are also not getting that update.
