    Minecraft Xbox One Edition Issues


    Well, I was in a game with a couple of friend on minecraft and we were playing for about 2 hours when out of the blue it says, "Host exited the game" or something along those lines. It was completely random and he hadn't left the game either. I still see
    his server up and both him and a friend of ours are in the game. Just not me. Every time I attempt to join it says, "Connection failed connection to server was last. Exiting to the main menu."

    My NAT type is open and they are both on the same router(different Xbox Ones). I am able to join their party just fine, so I see no connection issue that would be related to NAT because we were playing and are currently talking in a party while I cannot
    join their game.

    The Minecraft i have is so different than my friend

    I was bought Minecraft but not played it till now but i see so many different things than my friend I have (Minecraft - Buy Minecraft - Microsoft Store) he has (Minecraft: Xbox One Edition - Buy Minecraft: Xbox One Edition - Microsoft Store)
    so why there are two different editions to xbox one? why i can't download the
    Minecraft: Xbox One Edition?

    Transfering Minecraft save worlds from Xbox 360 to Xbox One Legacy

    Hi there,

    Have you hard reset your Xbox and power cycled it to see if Minecraft on Xbox One received an update as well?

    I noticed this note on the Mojang support page for transferring worlds on Xbox Consoles: "Please note:
    It’s not possible to transfer a world directly from Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition to the new version of Minecraft for Xbox One. To do this, you will need to first transfer the world to Xbox One Edition
    and then to the new version of Minecraft."

    If I'm not mistaken Minecraft Xbox One Edition was upgraded to the new version of Minecraft with the BTU but based on that note you would have to upload the worlds to the Xbox One edition and then to the newest version of Minecraft on Xbox One. I'm not sure
    if this has anything to do with the issue but I figured it was worth noting.
    Yes, both my Xbox 360 and Xbox One are fully updated. Minecraft Xbox One Edition or Legacy Edition and the Xbox one Better Together Edition are not the same. The BTU is an inferior version of Xbox One Minecraft Edition based off of the Pocket Edition for
    phone. It has extreme lag, chaotic menu system and broken redstone functions. I run Xbox One Edition not the BTU. So transferring to the new version of Minecraft for Xbox One has no relevance to me. They even state you need to transfer it to the Xbox One Edition
    (the version I use) first which you can do. But once it is transferred to that edition it can not be used on that same edition.

    In this case you can transfer worlds worlds from Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition to Minecraft Xbox One Edition or/and Minecraft Xbox One Edition to Minecraft.

    I checked out the minecraft forum, but all discussion there is older and only for the "Xbox One Edition" version of Minecraft, which is effectively discontinued, and doesn't have the multiplayer problem.

    My issue is with the "regular" (?) version of Minecraft on Xbox (not the Xbox One Edition) ...btw, whoever came up with these two versions is a moron...
