    Minecraft Xbox One Edition convertion to the new version of Minecraft


    It's been over 2 months since I started playing Minecraft Windows 10 edition.

    My friends & I have a great survival world we really enjoyed playing on & with alot of progress on good 6 years.

    Since that I went to computer instead of Xbox but kept my gold so I would still be able to talk & play with them when this new version of minecraft would be ready.

    Since the first time the "Convertion" option for the Xbox was added, there has been this bug. The Minecraft game client crashes when trying to convert the world to the Better together update

    Over & Over & Over....

    Mojang keeps release updates, but yet for the past 2 months, this has NOT been fixed! If Mojang don't want to, then Microsoft needs to

    I contacted Microsoft support chat for this the 5th October & was told I would be contacted within 1-2 days on the email I used. It's been 22 days from this post... I've heard nothing what so hellish ever

    This bug are with good chances the most gamebreaking in 2017.

    Can someone in Microsoft please, look into this & ORDER Mojang to fix this bug. I personally don't care if someone has to go military grade drill instrouctor on them.

    My words here might sound "angry" & they are but it makes sense

    DLC not transfered over from old to new Minecraft Xbox successfully

    I have a problem with the DLC transfering between the Minecraft: Xbox One Edition and Minecraft (new). As Mojang said your DLC from the Old Minecraft should transfer over to the new Minecraft. That worked for all my DLC but the DLC that was included in the
    Minecraft: Xbox One Favarites Edition (That’s the Version I own). It just didn’t transfered over to the new Minecraft.

    Information (if needed to help me:

    Console: Xbox One S

    Old Mineraft: Digital Version of the Minecraft: Xbox One Favorites Edition

    New Minecraft: Digital Version of the Game Minecraft (I was not in the Beta)

    Minecraft: Better Together is not free.

    Hello. I need a help.

    I bought a disc: Minecraft: Xbox One edition in somewhere around 25-28th of January.

    In game i saw a message, that new Minecraft edition (Better Together/Bedrock Edition) is free for owners of Minecraft: Xbox One Edition. In my situation - i needed to play for 5 hours in Minecraft: Xbox One edition. I played that time in 25-29 of January.
    But new Minecraft edition was still not free for me. It says that offer ended in 30th of January. So - i didn't take new version of Minecraft for free because of this bug. So why is that happened? Help me please. I want that version so much!

    You can only transfer your world from Minecraft 360 Edition to Minecraft One Edition to (new) Minecraft.

    Which Minecraft version do you use? For example, Minecraft 360 Edition in (new) Minecraft is not possible.

    Minecraft 360 Edition and Minecraft One Edition are out of support and now the Legacy Editions. New Minecraft is the Bedrock Edition

    Have you hard reset your Xbox and power cycled it to see if Minecraft on Xbox One received an update as well?

    I noticed this note on the Mojang support page for transferring worlds on Xbox Consoles: "Please note:
    It’s not possible to transfer a world directly from Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition to the new version of Minecraft for Xbox One. To do this, you will need to first transfer the world to Xbox One Edition
    and then to the new version of Minecraft."

    If I'm not mistaken Minecraft Xbox One Edition was upgraded to the new version of Minecraft with the BTU but based on that note you would have to upload the worlds to the Xbox One edition and then to the newest version of Minecraft on Xbox One. I'm not sure
    if this has anything to do with the issue but I figured it was worth noting.
    Yes, both my Xbox 360 and Xbox One are fully updated. Minecraft Xbox One Edition or Legacy Edition and the Xbox one Better Together Edition are not the same. The BTU is an inferior version of Xbox One Minecraft Edition based off of the Pocket Edition for
    phone. It has extreme lag, chaotic menu system and broken redstone functions. I run Xbox One Edition not the BTU. So transferring to the new version of Minecraft for Xbox One has no relevance to me. They even state you need to transfer it to the Xbox One Edition
    (the version I use) first which you can do. But once it is transferred to that edition it can not be used on that same edition.

    Back then when the Xbox One Edition (the Minecraft with the "Xbox One Edition" in the name, not the new "Minecraft" for Xbox One) was released, there was a short time, where you could buy "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" for a reduced price, if you owned the
    original Xbox 360 Minecraft digitally.

    Xbox 360 Minecraft and Xbox One Edition Minecraft are two different things. Like having a vinyl record of a music album and then having to buy a CD of the same album. Or having a DVD of a movie, and having to pay for the BluRay version of the movie.

    However, the Xbox One Edition can't be bought nowadays anymore. Have you had the Xbox One Edition digitally, you would get the "Minecraft" (without the "Xbox One Edition" in the name) for free.

    You can however transfer your Xbox 360 worlds to the Xbox One, if you somehow got hold of the "Xbox One Edition" before it was replaced by the new "Minecraft".

    To do that, start your Xbox 360 Minecraft and make sure it's on the latest version. Then use the menu entry to upload your world to the online cloud.

    Now start up Minecraft Xbox One Edition and import your world.

    With your world in the Xbox One Edition, you can then start the "new" Minecraft on the Xbox One, and import your world from the Xbox One Edition to the new Minecraft.

    Firstly, I can confirm that Minecraft for Xbox One is included in Xbox Game Pass. Minecraft is not yet a part of Game Pass for PC.

    Although it is still possible to transfer data from Minecraft on Xbox 360 to Minecraft for Xbox One, it is not straight forward. The process requires you to go via Minecraft Xbox One Edition.

    It’s not possible to transfer a world directly from Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition to the new version of Minecraft for Xbox One. To do this, you will need to first transfer the world to Xbox One Edition and then to the new version of Minecraft.
