Minecraft Xbox 360 - world accidentally overwritten by title updates not being present on save

So i had previously tried uploading some of my minecraft 360 edition worlds to my xbox one, and had come to find out they are not compatible for any transfers. First it resulted in me having to move some storage around and not keeping the title update (1.3Gb) in the same external save which i have used for years as a means of more storage besides system memory. i finally after 10 years purchased a hard drive and then had only a few of my maps copied to my cloud, and the title update on the hard drive’s memory itself.

So, i disregard this and figure to deal with it later ( > about a week and a half total) i removed the hard drive thinking nothing of it and started the 360 edition up with my younger sibling eagerly waiting to play, when the font and appearance of the loading screen etc were very different. The orignal minecraft was loaded instead due to none of the updates being on the regular save, but all my worlds were on there. In confusion for a moment, We explored the tutorial to find it was the complete original ( no sprint, foodbar, no creative mode etc) after exiting i decided to try and load the last map we played which its thumbnail was showing (majority were not showing their maps picture so i didnt select them) this map is 7 years old, i load it up and realize im in the jungle without the superflat world being there, a message pops up saying something like “this map “ insert name” already exists, would you like to overwrite it?” And for some reason within a fraction of hardlt reading it i pressed A but didnt look at the selection i chose as i then exited out. Loaded a survival map up, completley different terrain. Cant restore either, exiting didnt return their properties. I didnt realize the original game would counteract the worlds that had images present in the little squares to the left of each name.

IS there anything i can do to restore these two maps, i moved the title update back to the orignal save device and loaded up the newest minecraft save which shows the world and images like normal, but they load to the other versions version of those maps AKA a random seed. Ive copied and moved the worlds to my dismay it still is wrong.

I feel so dissapointed for not taking my time and realizing my updates werent on file.

P.S i understand if i save the maps the images will change to whatever present sight is given. Thus deleting the thumbnail. But does it mean the map is still saveable, maybe through a computer program?

    :)

Transferring old Minecraft saves from 360 to One

This may help if not , let me know

How do I transfer my saved worlds from Xbox 360 to Xbox One Edition?

You’ll need to ensure you have the latest update for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition by starting the game while connected to Xbox Live. The most recent update contains a feature that allows you to upload one saved
world at a time to a save transfer slot. You can then use the Xbox 360 save download feature on Minecraft: Xbox One Edition to download that world. You’ll need to make sure you download that save to your Xbox One before you can upload a new save using your
Xbox 360. You can do this as often as you like, but you can only transfer one saved world at a time.

How do I transfer my saved worlds from Minecraft Xbox One Edition to Minecraft for Xbox One?

You’ll need to ensure you have the latest update to Minecraft by starting the game while connected to Xbox Live. Choose “Play” and navigate down to the bottom, here you will find a button called “Sync Old
Worlds”. Select this button and choose the world you would like to transfer. You can do this as often as you like, but you can only transfer one world at a time.

    Minecraft Transfer

It’s not possible to transfer a world directly from Minecraft Xbox 360 Edition to the new version of Minecraft for Xbox One. To do this, you will need to first transfer the world to Xbox One Edition and then to the new version of Minecraft.

Uploading a Minecraft save from 360 to One

Just got it to work today with the latest update. But i can't transfer more than one world. The second one I uploaded (after downloading the first one) turns into the first one when I download and save it. The first transfer is not being overwritten by the
    second. Help?

    minecraft world willl not load.

    Hey there Aspic,

Sorry to hear you're having issues with your Minecraft world.

Sometimes after Title Updates where new Biomes are introduced, it can wipe old saves to blank seeds when it repopulates the chunks.

You can try moving the world to a
    USB Drive
or trying to play it while disconnected from Xbox Live but if that world was wiped we may not be able to save the data.

    Minecraft: Xbox 360 edition coversion

The original Xbox Live has been shut down.

The Xbox 360 Live network is still very much alive, thanks to the Backwards Compatibility of the Xbox One and upcoming Xbox Series X.

In order to transfer your Xbox 360 Minecraft world to a PC, several steps are necessary, but it involves a discontinued version of Minecraft on the Xbox One, so you might not be able to do it at all.

In order to get your Minecraft World transferred, you'll need a Xbox One with "Minecraft Xbox One Edition" (not the Bedrock Minecraft for the Xbox One, that will be the next step).

If you have access to a Xbox One with the "Minecraft Xbox One Edition", start your Xbox 360 Minecraft and make sure it's updated to the latest version.

In Minecraft, upload your world to the Cloud. Then go to the Xbox One and sign in with your Microsoft Account that you use on your Xbox 360.

Start "Minecraft Xbox One Edition", and import your cloud save from the Xbox 360 Minecraft.

Now that you have your world on the Xbox One Edition, let the Xbox One save and upload the save state to the Xbox One Cloud.

After that, start "Minecraft" on the Xbox One (the latest Bedrock version, without the "Xbox One Edition" in the title).

Import your world to the Xbox One "Minecraft".

Now start your free trial for a Realm. Upload your world to your Realm and go to your Windows 10 PC. Sign in with the same Microsoft Account email you used on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, and start "Minecraft for Windows 10" (the Java Minecraft will NOT work).

Join the realm, and you can download the world to the PC.

Now don't forget to cancel your subscription for the Realm, otherwise you'd have to pay for it.
