    Minecraft xbox 360 lag


    Everytime I try to play minecraft with my friends the world always seems to lag for me and my friend but the one hosting doesnt seem to have any lag issues at all. It takes like 30 seconds to a minute to open chests, fishing is impossible with the latency
    and going into the nether is hell (no pun intended) due to the rubber banding. We do get moments of clarity and the server runs completely smoothly, but it's not enough to make it enjoyable to play. I don't think it's our internet connection since we rarely
    have any serious lag issues (outside of complete overload in graphics) in other multiplayer games, but one of us does have questionable connection due to him living across the world from me and the other guy.

    How can we reduce the lag in minecraft for the xbox 360?

    The host should never experience lag as they are the run running the server for everyone else. have you tried either yourself hosting or another person? the person hosting may not have a good enough internet connection to host.

    Only way to really decrease the latency would be to host a server closer to where you are in the world. Only downside is that your mate on the other end of the world will need to deal with a lot more latency. I tend to suffer from high latency when I join
    a friend in South Africa and we play on South African servers with me living in the Netherlands, which makes gaming with my friends a bit laggy, but sometimes I suck it up just so I can spend time with my friends that are so far away.

    Hi there, Dose your friend have lots of big builds in his world or lots of Redstone builds? If so this will be contributing to your lag. I was playing once on a server and I couldn't move because of all the redstone builds. Its crazy how much it can lag
    the sever out. You might just have to host your on world and get your friend to join you and see if he has the same issues.
