Minecraft xbox 360 game not working properly

When my son loads his minecraft game on his xbox 360 the screen goes dark and he can't turn round. This has only happened since the last update, we have bought a new game, reset the xbox 360 back to its factory settings but when he plays it again it still
goes dark and he again is unable to turn round. His other games play without any problems, can anyone help?

We received a used xbox 360 S from a friend. We can't seem to sign in or create a new profile to play any games. The system update won't take. Clearing the cache won't work, nor deleting profiles etc. It won't connect to xbox live either (even though
it gets as far as connecting to our wifi). There are some corrupted files (in memory and profile) We can't format either. I'm worried the internal HD is bad. However, ours has the internal memory unit 4GB which can't be removed. If we purchase a new hard
drive, will it even help?

The steps above are all valide but, like many other things HDD are still susceptible to breaking or wearing out! I myself experienced a similiar problem! If those steps above did not work you may have to buy a new hard drive! Yours could have become corrupt!
If this is the case even a reformat will not help, u must buy a new one! I'm sorry your having these problems but maybe our answers have helped you in some way and you can get back to the unmatched experience which is the xbox! Thank you for being a loyal

my son is having the same problem, even after the latest update.

 

Hello I am an ambassador and I have seen some similar issues with other games have you tried unplugging the console and plugging it in before as this has helped with some similar issues.

 

Thanks for your advice but it hasn't worked unfortunately. Screen still dark and my son can't turn the character. Do you know of anything else I could try? It appears to have started after the last game update.

First step would be to reset the game itself to its default settings. Load the game - go to "Help & Options" = "Settings" = "Reset to Defaults". Sometimes the game sets sensitivity etc. to 0.
